i was always inspired by military backpacks and how they could fit everything they need to survive in a backpack.

i was inspired by snails and turtles who carried everything their homes on their backs.

i was inspired by hikers who carried their lives on their backs.

i was inspired by rv dwellers who lived inside of their vehicles on the road.

i was inspired by jesus and many other biblical characters who travelled with nothing but what they could carry with them or nothing but what they could carry on a mule.

i was inspired by superheros who went on long adventures to save the world with nothing but what they could carry with them.

every single year multiple times a year i would have to fit everything i wanted to bring with me into a suitcase and into a backpack and travel across the country by plane. this is because our family moved across the country away from our origins.

one day by chance I was arriving at the airport with my parents. i was 11 years old at the time. i saw out the window a foreginer who had nothing but a single small suitcase and no backpack. for the rest of the day a burning question resided in me: how do some of these men at the airport travel with just what they could carry in a small bag.

this question sat with me and I struggled with it for many years trying to reconcile what I saw.

in my teens I studied military gear and I studied people who lived out of backpacks and people who lived out of their vehicles. I tried to learn everything I could about this phenomenon. i even began to practice trying to pack my life into a backpack.

this was all to the dismay of my parents who at first did not understand my desire. they coudn't understand why I would want to get rid of my things or why I would want to live with less.

when I was 18 I created the onebag subreddit: reddit.com/r/onebag
I worked hard to grow this onebagging forum every single day. I would always post something to the onebag subbredit every day for years, even if it wasnt very good. I slowly grew it until it had enough users that I didnt have to post anymore.

when I finished with the onebag subreddit it had grown to 80,000 users. there was a controversey that had caused me to be canceled by a woke mob, and i resigned as leader of the subreddit.

i had felt that I had been censored and so I wanted once again to create a large community without the posibility of having it stolen from me or having it taken down.

i created the fastman image format which was like a kind of infomational bomb that was uncensorable because it was all in a single image. this was the first fastman image:

over time i refined the image and gradually improved upon the idea. this is the most popular version of fastman ive ever made:

eventually as the idea of fastman progressed the information became so great that it could not all fit into one picture. also for various reasons the fastman meme had never become viral on the internet. part of the reason was it was very difficult to convey in the thumbnail what the information in fastman was about or what it was useful for. also most social media sites cropped the fastman images to a smaller size pereventing the text from being readable.

in the current iteration of fastman, which is now referred to as the fastmeme for trademark reasons, the fastmeme has become a website called the fast scrolls. the fast scrols is a website that expresses the information much more clealry, and also contains within it a single fast meme image that is updated yearly and isnt censorable.

many of the fans of fastman are members of the 4chan and of the fisthank live community. some are also redditors from the original onebag subreddit. we consider minimalists who dont know about the fastman meme to be refugees who are looking to find their way on the minimalist internet.

fastman is one of the most censored minimalist communities in the world being disallowed on 4chan, in many discords, and in the onebag and zerobags subreddit as well as in the homeless subreddit.

the idea of fastnan and the content of the fast scrolls is being continually updated by the author. he hopes that after his death that the idea can be continued into something even better and more refined.
