part of being a fastmonk is knowing how to set up a base of operations.

in a base of operations you may accumulate possessions that you wouldn't
carry with you if you were going to travel elsewhere. for example you
might buy bulk amounts of food, more cooking gear, or other luxuries that
would make survival easier.

the fast scrolls does not expect you to settle down and have a single
place where you survive. but it expects you to be prepared to do this.
